Creating Social Value
We are responsible corporate citizens. Much of our work contributes to making better places, contributing to more vibrant economies and reducing the use of natural resources. We don’t feel that we need a Corporate Social Responsibility statement, but instead, have tried to support the communities in which we work. As responsible corporate citizens, we:
Guest lecture at Cardiff University.
Invest our professional time in community projects (e.g Grange Gardens for Cardiff University).
Engage with Community Benefits Officers and provide community benefit donations and time to placemaking schemes we work on e.g community planting projects.
Use funds received from our recently replaced IT equipment, The Urbanists have matched the funds and a total of £1000 will be presented as a contribution towards, IT, Science or Sports equipment, to a local primary school in Pill, Newport during February 2022, where we are currently involved in a community regeneration project.
Invest in young people by mentoring school children and offering work experience.
Operate a programme of summer work experience for undergraduates.
Provide Intern placements.
Invest time in the Employee Ownership Association to support other business who are interested in becoming Employee Owned.
Are proud Sponsors of the Women In Property Regional Student Awards 2022.
Furthermore, we regularly support endeavours that further the objectives of our relevant Professional organisations. We are active contributors to the Landscape Institute, RTPI Young Planners (Wales Branch) and the RTPI Cymru Policy and Research Forum.
