Corwen Placemaking Plan

What is a Placemaking Plan?

Denbighshire County Council has commissioned The Urbanists for the development of a Placemaking Plan for Corwen Town Centre.

A Placemaking Plan is a long-term plan for a place; it identifies what is unique about a town and recommends projects and investments that could strengthen a place. Placemaking Plans aim for the improvement of a place and ensure that all aspects that make a place great for living, working and visiting are taken into account.  Successful Placemaking Plans are shaped by the knowledge of local people (businesses, local groups and residents).

Why is the Placemaking Plan important for Corwen?

Having the Placemaking Plan will allow the Council to apply for funding that can be spent for the regeneration of Corwen’s town centre.

What do we want from this conversation?

This is not the first stage of engagement on the Corwen Placemaking Plan.  In June, The Urbanists and Denbighshire County Council undertook engagement and collected feedback on how local people feel about the town.  We have used this to prepare the Placemaking Plan, and we now want to make sure we have captured the feedback accurately and continue to collect local views and perspectives on the draft strategy and proposals that have been prepared.

“We are holding a one-day day engagement event in Corwen Library between 12pm until 5pm and then in Corwen Memorial Hall from 5:30pm until 8pm on the 10th of September where feedback on the Placemaking Plan can be provided.  The Placemaking Plan design boards that will be presented at the engagement event and feedback forms will be available for download at this website from the 10th September 2024. The consultation period will close on the 26th of September, so please send any feedback to the email below by this date: [email protected]

Thank you for your support!

Cynllun Creu Lle Corwen

Beth yw Cynllun Creu Lle?

Mae Cyngor Sir Ddinbych wedi comisiynu ‘The Urbanists’ i ddatblygu Cynllun Creu Lle ar gyfer Canol Tref Corwen.

Mae Cynllun Creu Lle yn gynllun hirdymor ar gyfer ardal arbennig; mae’n nodi’r hyn sy’n unigryw am y dref ac yn argymell prosiectau a buddsoddiad a allai gryfhau’r lle. Nod y cynllun yw gwella ardaloedd trwy sicrhau bod pob agwedd sy’n gwneud yr ardal yn lle gwych ar gyfer byw, gweithio ac ymweld yn cael ei ystyried. Mae Cynlluniau Creu Lleoedd llwyddiannus yn cael eu llywio gan wybodaeth pobl leol (busnesau, grwpiau lleol a thrigolion).

Pam fod y Cynllun Creu Lleoedd yn bwysig i Gorwen?

Bydd Cynllun Creu Lleoedd yn caniatáu i’r Cyngor wneud cais am arian y gellir ei wario ar adfywio canol tref Corwen.

Beth ydym ni eisiau o’r sgwrs yma?

Nid dyma’r cam cyntaf o ymgysylltu ar Gynllun Creu Lleoedd Corwen.  Ym mis Mehefin, ymgymerodd ‘The Urbanists’ a Chyngor Sir Ddinbych i ymgysylltu a chasglu adborth ar sut mae pobl leol yn teimlo am y dref. Rydym wedi defnyddio hwn i baratoi’r Cynllun Creu Lleoedd, ac rydym eisiau gwneud yn siŵr ein bod wedi casglu’r adborth yn gywir, wrth i ni barhau i gasglu safbwyntiau lleol ar y strategaeth ddrafft a’r cynigion a baratowyd.

“Rydym yn cynnal digwyddiad ymgysylltu yn Llyfrgell Corwen rhwng 12pm a 5pm ac yna yn Neuadd Goffa Corwen o 5:30pm tan 8pm ar y 10fed o Fedi, lle gellir adborth ar gyfer y cynllun cael eu darparu. Bydd byrddau dylunio’r Cynllun Creu Lleoedd a gyflwynir yn y digwyddiad ymgysylltu a ffurflenni adborth ar gael i’w llwytho i lawr o’r wefan hon o 10 Medi 2024. Bydd y cyfnod ymgynghori yn cau ar y 26ain o Fedi, felly anfonwch unrhyw adborth i’r e-bost isod erbyn y dyddiad yma”.

Diolch am eich cefnogaeth!
